What is Extra Help?

Extra Help, commonly referred to as the Low Income Subsidy, is a program administered by the Social Security Administration and is available to Medicare beneficiaries receiving limited income and resources.


What does Extra Help do?

Once qualified, the beneficiary will receive reduced drug costs for prescription drugs.


How much does it save?

The Social Security Administration estimates that a beneficiary receiving Extra Help will save around $4,000 in annual drug costs.
